Meeting 3 - Preparing and Negotiating

We would for you each to reach Chapters 4 and 5 from the mentoring book.  We want to begin thinking about how you create a climate for mentoring with your student teachers, what preparations you have to undergo as a mentor, and how you help your mentees set achievable but rigorous goals for their experience. In chapter 4 we would like you to complete the Mentoring Skills Inventory on p. 106.  In chapter 5 we want you to pay attention to the questions on p. 135 for discussion.  Based on your readings in chapters 4 and 5, we would like you post a response to this message with your reflections and thoughts.  If you could browse through the comments it will help facilitate the conversation we are planning to have.
